Hello Everyone! Well, this is blog number 3 and I hope it finds you happy and healthy. It certainly has been an interesting year to say the least. We all have covid stories and at times it certainly has been extremely stressful. How about trying to plan for a wedding and the groom and some bridesmaids end up with the virus mere weeks before the event!

I hope you had a chance to read Final Jeopardy on the example page. I have added several more this week. One is a wedding for Eric and Jessica and another is the birth announcement of Miss Emerson Tate Fitzgerald. Don’t miss High Flying which is an 80th birthday celebration! That poem was based on a story from Chicken Soup for the Soul, Age is Just a Number! I love writing these poems and I want to give a shout out to a special client of mine. She has encouraged me from the start and is anxiously waiting for her copy of The Sneezing Toucan. Thanks Bridgett Grisham (Luttenbacher) and Happy Birthday!

Two big pieces of news to share with you. I received my first request for a poem through the website and another commission through word of mouth! I am super excited and I can’t wait to share with all of you once the poem has been delivered. The second piece of news is that Samantha, my illustrator, has given me a great tutorial on how to draw a toucan! If you go to the Children’s Book page, you will find the file there and guess what? Rhymes4life wants to see how well your kids and grandkids can draw a toucan. So submit your pictures to rhymes4life@gmail.com and they will be loaded up to the website for all to enjoy! There is going to be a contest and some lucky boy or girl is going to receive an autographed copy of The Sneezing Toucan, hot off the press!

With Thanksgiving now in the rearview mirror and Christmas coming faster than a freight train, I wanted to take a moment and just give thanks. Thanks to my family, friends, coworkers past and present and so many others who are making this all possible. I am so glad you are on this ride with me through the publishing process and while we wait, I still have a chance to write these personalized poems. Thanks again and God bless.

Till next time,

Jim
